Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first away goal as a Real Madrid player in the Cornellá-El Prat stadium on 12 September 2009, the Portuguese striker’s second Liga match. Ronaldo came on in the second half to replace Benzema and topped off the Whites’ win with the definitive 0-3 in the final minutes of the game. Granero and Guti were the other players that saw the net in Espanyol’s first Liga match in their new stadium.

Real Madrid’s number seven scored in the Whites’ last away game to defeat Valencia and became the club’s second highest away-game scorer. Cristiano Ronaldo has racked up 72 away goals in La Liga, with only Raúl (87) ahead of him on the list.
